On-Site Care Centre
Our onsite Care Center is operated by Totalcare, a national brand with many years’ experience in retirement village care management. Totalcare offer specialised and integrated frail care and assisted living. With an all-inclusive offering our residents enjoy world-class service and modern and sophisticated facilities including an on-site doctor and other related services centred around wellness. The option of home based care has proven to be very popular for many of our residents, opting to be cared for in the comfort of their own home. The home based services that is offered by Totalcare, gives the resident peace of mind when it comes to “household chores” including options such as meals, laundry and housekeeping.
Totalcare also provide the following additional services to residents in their apartment;
- Nursing care at an hourly rate
- Assistance with activities of daily living at an hourly rate
- The option to purchase nutritious meals and snacks
- Social activities such as music, art and games are offered at set times in the care centre
- Physical activities including walks, exercises, physiotherapy and biokinetics are offered in the care centre
Shoreline is also conveniently positioned in close proximity to 3 major private hospitals being, Umhlanga Hospital, Gateway Hospital and Alberlito.

Central and easily accessed, the community centre includes a restaurant, a library and reading area, an internet corner, a bar as well as a private venue where residents can host a memorable family event. Our beautiful roof top garden offers breath-taking seaviews where you can play a game of boullé or sit under and the pergola and take in the views. For those who are more energetic, the lap pool is the perfect place to be where you can cool off, swim laps, or participate in aqua aerobic classes. And what’s more, the pool is heated for your all year round enjoyment.
The community centre leads out onto lush green grass, where residents can enjoy the communal braai area in the great Durban weather.
Our residents are delighted with the onsite restaurant, Shoreside Terrace Café, and the gym which is located behind the Care Center.

Restaurant
Our residents are delighted with the onsite restaurant, Shoreside Terrace Café, offering delicious meals and sweet afternoon treats. If residents are not up to walking down to the restaurant, the restaurant offers a delivery service free of charge. Residents are able to book the functions venue for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversary celebrations.
Gym
Our gym is located behind the Care Center, with beautiful westerly views of the magnificent sun-sets over the rolling hills. The gym has treadmills, stationary bicycles, weights, and stretching areas.
Security
At Shoreline, we take security very seriously. Our entire estate is surrounded by ClearView fencing as well as electric fencing. Our 24 hour access-controlled gatehouse ensures that our security team has a tight handle on who enters the estate.
For any medical emergencies, every unit has two “emergency call buttons” that when pressed, sends an alert to the care center who then respond. Our passages are also under 24 hour camera surveillance, giving residents additional peace of mind.
Residents utilize a user-friendly visitor management system to seamlessly provide codes for visitors ensuring there are no unnecessary delays at the gate.
Additionally, Sibaya Coastal Precinct provides independent security within the area, including armed response, patrolling guards, as well as surveillance cameras.
